Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, ivan navarro! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! navarro takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
navarro looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Case pushes navarro up against the cage in a clinch. Case decides to pull guard. Case controlling the position. navarro throwing strikes but missing. Case tries to land a sweep but no joy. Case is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Case lands a takedown into guard.
Case not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Case's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Case takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if navarro can do anything to dispel that myth. Case wants to pass the guard but navarro is defending well. Well, if Case is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Justin Case just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Case closes this distance looking for a takedown but navarro circles away. Case shoots for a double leg takedown but navarro sprawls well. He's pushed Case's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Case with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Case. That's going to take a lot out of him. Case drives through with a takedown into guard. Case is pushing down on navarro's leg trying to pass to half guard. navarro is fighting to maintain full guard but Case has managed to sneak the leg through. Case passes to full mount!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Case controlling from the full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. navarro tries to get back to half guard but can't. navarro takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Case working the ground and pound effectively.

Case fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Case fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. navarro sprawls well initially but Case persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Case is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. navarro is trying to get back to full guard. navarro is breathing heavily. navarro throws a strike from the bottom but Case passes into side control!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Justin Case just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Case looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Case fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Case. That's going to take a lot out of him. Case decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Case will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Case working over navarro with some ground and pound. navarro looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Case not doing much here.

navarro tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Case has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Case takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Case seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down navarro for as long as he can get away with. Case gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Case takes a swing at navarro's ribcage but misses. Case scores a takedown into full mount! Case controlling his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Justin Case just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Case has a takedown stuffed. Case drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Case dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Case bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. navarro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Case wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Case moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Case has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Case has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for navarro! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. navarro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Case tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Case lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Case controlling from mount.
