Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Semba Rua (ranked 928 p4p, 1388 weight class) and Marvin Vettori (ranked 143 p4p, 219 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Semba Rua has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Semba Rua seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Semba Rua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marvin Vettori! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vettori moves away from the strike by Rua. Vettori stuffs the takedown. Vettori takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Vettori. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rua is looking to reverse the position. Vettori really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vettori working the ground and pound from side control. Vettori working away. Rua is looking for a sweep. Rua gets back to half guard.
Rua is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vettori pulls his head out easily. Rua is trying to get back to full guard. Vettori lands with a punch from half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Vettori wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rua keeps working. Rua wants to control but Vettori is keeping busy and won't allow it. Vettori not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rua has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Rua regains full guard. Nicely done. Vettori must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rua is looking for a triangle but Vettori pushes his legs off easily.
Rua controlling the position. Rua trying to keep a closed guard but Vettori is proving a slippery customer.
Vettori throwing strikes but missing. Vettori throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rua works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rua wants to sweep here but Vettori controlling him for the moment. Vettori trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vettori sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rua's guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua desperately trying to maintain half guard. Rua gets back to full guard.
Vettori is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rua has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vettori is looking to defend but Rua has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vettori! Rua pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vettori taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Semba Rua! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Semba Rua made sure he mentioned REDEMPTION ink, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
