Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Friendly Monkey (ranked 24735 p4p, 3884 weight class) and Conor Mcnuggets (ranked 0 p4p, 475 weight class). Monkey comes to the cage accompanied by Pee pee poo poo. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcnuggets to the mat! Mcnuggets manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Monkey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcnuggets can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like Mcnuggets might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Monkey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcnuggets gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Monkey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mcnuggets's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Mcnuggets has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
