Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack P Olsen (ranked 2959 p4p, 4902 weight class) and Caligola Daskalakis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack P Olsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Caligola Daskalakis! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olsen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Daskalakis defends well and Olsen ends up having to push Daskalakis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Daskalakis lands a nice elbow. A head punch on the inside from Olsen fails to land. Olsen misses with a body punch.

Daskalakis creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Olsen's defenses. Daskalakis creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Olsen is looking for a takedown. Daskalakis pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Olsen tries to throw a body punch but Daskalakis avoids it by throwing Olsen back against the cage. Daskalakis lands a hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack P Olsen. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daskalakis throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Olsen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Olsen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Olsen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Daskalakis has him pressed against the cage.

Olsen avoids a wild elbow strike from Daskalakis. Nice elbow from Daskalakis. Olsen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Daskalakis wants to get back to his feet but Olsen passes into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Daskalakis is looking to improve his position.
Daskalakis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Olsen is working away from the top position though. Olsen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Daskalakis defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olsen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Daskalakis is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Daskalakis is refusing to be controlled, as Olsen sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daskalakis is concentrating on defense, preventing Olsen from advancing position. Olsen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Olsen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Daskalakis defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Daskalakis is looking to control Olsen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Daskalakis avoid being mounted? Olsen in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Daskalakis tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Olsen!
