The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reality looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Voranovskis! Reality looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Check out the look on Reality's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Voranovskis told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Reality works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Reality cracks Voranovskis with an elbow. That is naaassty. Reality connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Voranovskis some visible discomfort.
Reality working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reality swings around for an armbar but Voranovskis sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Reality's guard. Reality has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Voranovskis stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Reality has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Voranovskis manages to get his head free but now Reality has transitioned to an armbar! Voranovskis grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Reality! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Busted Reality! Busted Reality decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
