Lahti comes to the cage accompanied by Säkkijärven Polkka. McDermott has chosen I'm Shipping up to Boston as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermott looks to land a left hand but Lahti moved out of range nicely.
Lahti jabbing away but nothing is landing.
It seemed like McDermott was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
McDermott connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Tenho Lahti has been cut.
McDermott catches Lahti napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Lahti to the canvas!
Lahti is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDermott is standing up over Lahti. Lahti looks to escape but McDermott dives into side control.
Oh Lahti is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McDermott stands up and beckons Lahti to his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Lahti has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
McDermott tries to bum rush Lahti with a series of wild strikes but Lahti uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McDermott throws an uppercut from hell that sends Lahti clean off his feet! He's out cold! McDermott stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
