Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Luciano (ranked 865 p4p, 1559 weight class) and George Russell (ranked 104 p4p, 193 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that George Russell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Russell!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell needs to keep his hands up - Luciano had a free shot at his head there.
Luciano throws an off balance right hand
and Russell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Luciano throws a good cross that connects.
Luciano keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A cross from Luciano lands.
Luciano moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Russell is rocked!
Russell walks straight into a right hand from Luciano - that's dropped him! Luciano jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Russell from any more punishment! Russell complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ricky Luciano!

In his post fight interview, Ricky Luciano started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
