Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rock Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Cannons!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a shot to the body
and Brown takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cannons smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Rock Brown has been cut.
Brown throws a lazy uppercut
and Cannons counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Brown swings widly with a right hand
and Cannons cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brown is rocked!
Cannons uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brown.
Cannons feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Brown sprawling to the canvas! Brown rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cannons finish him?!
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown fails to land with a series of punches.
Brown seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Brown takes one to the chin there.
Cannons looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Brown drops his hands momentarily. Cannons doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Brown staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Brown doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johnny Cannons!
During a confident post fight interview, Johnny Cannons thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
