Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Just Joshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DJ Nelson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Just Joshin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DJ Nelson!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson is looking to land body kicks.
Nelson connects with a jab.
Nelson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No joy there for Nelson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A big left from Nelson misses.
Nelson shoots in for a double leg but Joshin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Joshin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nelson moves into the clinch.

Nelson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Joshin regains guard immediately.

Joshin closes the distance and pushes Nelson back into the cage.

Nelson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A telegraphed right hand from Nelson misses the target.
Nelson lands with a hook. Joshin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Joshin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nelson.

Nelson drives through and clinches with Joshin against the cage.
Nelson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Nelson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Joshin regains guard.
Nelson won't allow Joshin to sweep him here.

Joshin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nelson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nelson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Joshin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nelson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Joshin, into his guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Joshin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nelson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Joshin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nelson's back instead.

Joshin is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That was a close second round but I would say that Just Joshin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

DJ Nelson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Joshin tries for a takedown but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Joshin shoots in looking for a takedown. Nelson tries to sprawl out of it but Joshin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nelson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Joshin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nelson dives on top into guard.

Nelson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Nelson wants to control from the top but Joshin keeps moving.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to DJ Nelson.
Well Nelson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
