The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McMell throws a leg kick that is checked
and Dawson counters with a shoot takedown. McMell fights it but they end up in guard.
Dawson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dawson lands strikes from half guard.
McMell is trying to stand up here but Dawson is controlling him well.
Dawson is working for a submission of some sort.
Dawson throwing shots but McMell is blocking nicely.
Dawson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
McMell is rocked!
