Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Conor Crocker (ranked 4764 p4p, 4838 weight class) and Abe Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Conor Crocker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abe Kongo! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kongo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kongo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Crocker.
Crocker has a couple of punches blocked by Kongo.
Crocker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kongo after a bit of a struggle. Crocker breaks from the clinch.
Crocker tries to keep at a distance but Kongo has taken the fight into the clinch. Kongo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kongo effectively controlling the action here. Kongo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Crocker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kongo has him pressed against the cage. Crocker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kongo misses with a takedown attempt and Crocker counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Abe Kongo has been cut. Kongo checks the leg kick. Abe Kongo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crocker tries to clinch up but Kongo circles away and keeps his distance. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crocker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kongo throws a combination that misses and Crocker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Crocker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conor Crocker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice body punch from Kongo. Kongo throws a quick inside leg kick. Kongo blocks a head kick by Crocker.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Crocker controlling from the top position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crocker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kongo being controlled here, momentarily. Crocker advances position into side control! Kongo can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crocker trying to control the position but Kongo is working away. Crocker passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kongo! Crocker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Poor strikes thrown by Crocker there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Crocker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Crocker controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kongo wants to hold on but Crocker pushes him away. Kongo wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Kongo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crocker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crocker looking to control and managing it successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Conor Crocker will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Abe Kongo's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kongo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crocker shoots in for a double leg but Kongo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kongo closes the distance and pushes Crocker back into the cage. Kongo swings wildly with an uppercut but Crocker uses good head movement to avoid it. Kongo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Crocker to keep the fight standing. Crocker goes for a takedown attempt but Kongo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Crocker is keeping the position for now. Crocker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kongo is one step ahead there. Crocker has his feet on Kongo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Abe Kongo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Abe Kongo's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Crocker tries to clinch up but Kongo circles away and keeps his distance. Crocker moves into the clinch. Kongo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Crocker is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kongo to the mat. Kongo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Conor Crocker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Crocker trying to control the position from guard on top but Kongo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kongo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kongo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kongo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kongo successfully pulls guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kongo looking for a sweep. Not yet Kongo, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crocker wants to control from the top but Kongo keeps moving. Crocker is looking to work some ground and pound but Kongo has wrist control. Crocker forces his way into half guard. Crocker controlling the pace. Crocker trying to mount his opponent but Kongo defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crocker not landing any meaningful shots this time. Crocker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Crocker decides to return to a standing position. Crocker misses with a few strikes there.
Crocker throws a head kick but Kongo moves out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kongo slaps away a takedown attempt from Crocker, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conor Crocker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crocker dives in for a single leg takedown but Kongo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kongo is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kongo pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crocker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Kongo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Crocker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Kongo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Crocker backwards. Crocker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kongo's efforts to push away. Kongo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crocker has him pressed against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crocker tries to pull guard but Kongo holds him up against the cage and eventually Crocker drops back down to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Abe Kongo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kongo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
