Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 3827 p4p, 1871 weight class) and Patrick Bateman (ranked 500 p4p, 266 weight class). Gracie's entrance music is Jiu Jitsu by Smoke Serpent. A fine choice. Bateman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by King of New York, Fun luvin Criminals . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bateman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Bateman is now in Gracie's guard.

Bateman stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Gracie throws up his legs and catches Bateman in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Bateman tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Gracie! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Royce Gracie!
Our winner, Royce Gracie, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
