Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Remi Chavaski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Gilbert Quirk! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quirk throws a series of punches but Chavaski moves out of range. Quirk lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Quirk cracks Chavaski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Quirk drives through and clinches with Chavaski against the cage.
Chavaski has Quirk pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Quirk manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Quirk is defending well against a takedown attempt. Chavaski is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Quirk is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Remi Chavaski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chavaski gets a trip takedown into half guard. Chavaski is controlling the pace.
Quirk is staying active underneath Chavaski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Chavaski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Quirk sees it coming and defends easily. Quirk is looking to escape. Quirk is looking to improve his position.
Quirk wants to control but Chavaski is keeping busy.
Chavaski passes to full mount! Chavaski looking to secure an arm triangle but Quirk defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quirk keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chavaski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Chavaski has control of Quirk's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Quirk regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Chavaski looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Chavaski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Chavaski looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chavaski with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Chavaski trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chavaski is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Chavaski!
