Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ruben Flijers!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flijers fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Morgan misses with a double jab.
Flijers swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Flijers cracks Morgan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Flijers stuns Morgan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Flijers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Morgan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Flijers pinned against the cage. Flijers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Morgan fails with the takedown.
Flijers looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Morgan moves into the clinch successfully.
Flijers lands an elbow that stopped Morgan in his tracks for a moment.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Flijers.
Morgan is rocked!
A short uppercut from Flijers.
Oh Morgan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Flijers creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Morgan with a big uppercut! Morgan tries to clinch up but Flijers pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Morgan to the mat! Morgan covers up and Flijers unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ruben Flijers!
After winning the bout, Ruben Flijers thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
