And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ian Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reilly lands a two punch combo.
Reilly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reilly slips under a jab from Popkov.
Popkov lands with a hook. Reilly tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Reilly attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Reilly buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ian Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reilly swings away with a leg kick that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Popkov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

The fighters circling - Popkov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Popkov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Reilly is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Popkov, as that shot connected.

Popkov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Popkov is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Popkov throws a shot from downtown. Reilly moves away and avoids it.

As Popkov backs off Reilly throws a huge counter combo but Popkov manages to avoid it all.
Popkov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Popkov throws a lazy right hand but Reilly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Popkov is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Popkov avoids the head kick by Reilly.
Reilly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Popkov moves out of range of the body kick.
Reilly walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nice defenses there by Popkov.
Reilly misses with a left hand
enabling Popkov to counter with a crisp jab.
Popkov circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Reilly to the canvas! Reilly doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Popkov keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
