PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mizark Coleman (ranked 2802 p4p, 2699 weight class) and Adam Wright (ranked 110 p4p, 105 weight class). Coleman comes to the cage accompanied by The Roid Rage Holla. Wright has chosen Fabolous - B.O.M.B.S. as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adam Wright!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Mizark Coleman has been cut.

Coleman gets a clinch.
Wright takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Adam Wright has been cut.
Coleman creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Coleman lands an elbow inside.

Coleman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wright swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wright tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Wright.
Coleman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Coleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wright's head.
Wright trying to hold on to Coleman's head to control him but Coleman postures up.
Wright wants to get back to his feet.
Coleman not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Coleman throwing shots but Wright is blocking nicely.
Coleman misses with a head shot. Wright uses the momentum to regain guard.
Coleman trying to control but Wright is working from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Coleman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Wright is rocked!

That has opened up Adam Wright's cut even more.
Coleman is looking to work some ground and pound but Wright has wrist control.
Wright is still in real trouble! Can Coleman finish him?
Coleman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Coleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Coleman postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wright covers up, he's hurt! Coleman keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Coleman and the ref steps in to end the fight! Coleman can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

In his post fight interview, Mizark Coleman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
