Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlton Yonge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew Quigley!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonge shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Quigley looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Yonge throws a jab when Quigley was well out of range.
Yonge definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Yonge gets a clinch.
Yonge blocking some punches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Yonge.
Quigley tries to circle away but Yonge has him pinned against the cage.
Quigley throws a punch but it's blocked by Yonge.
Yonge works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Yonge is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Quigley pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Yonge throws a head punch that misses.
Yonge misses with a shot to the kidneys.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Quigley.
Still in the clinch, Quigley scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quigley scores with a shot to the side of Yonge's head.
Quigley stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Yonge is breathing heavily.
Quigley gets through Yonge's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Yonge tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Quigley lands a hook that snaps the head of Yonge backwards.
Quigley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Quigley is trying to force a seperation but Yonge has the dominant position.
Quigley prevents a body shot from Yonge.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yonge tries to throw a body punch but Quigley avoids it by throwing Yonge back against the cage.
Yonge swings wildly with an uppercut but Quigley uses good head movement to avoid it.
Quigley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Yonge blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Yonge wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlton Yonge. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yonge tries to land knees in the clinch but Quigley avoids the damage to the body.
A nice left hand lands by Quigley.
Yonge misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Quigley.
Quigley lands a nice shot to the body.

Quigley is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Yonge's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Quigley cracks Yonge with a nice body shot.

Quigley breaks from the clinch.
Quigley takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Carlton Yonge has been cut.
Quigley works Yonge's body with a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yonge slips under a jab.
Yonge uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quigley.
Quigley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yonge takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Quigley lands a big right hand that sends Yonge crashing to the mat! Quigley stays standing though and waves Yonge back to his feet!

Yonge is rocked!
Quigley fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Yonge square on the jaw! Damn, Yonge is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matthew Quigley!
