Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Garbrandt (ranked 6247 p4p, 6401 weight class) and Jerome Mice (ranked 277 p4p, 280 weight class). Garbrandt's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, We Will Rock You. Cody Garbrandt has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garbrandt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Garbrandt moves in looking to clinch but Mice pushes him off.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Garbrandt enables Mice to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Garbrandt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Garbrandt is looking to stand up but Mice isn't so interested in that idea.
Mice should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mice is taking a breather. Garbrandt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Mice feints and as Garbrandt raises his hands in defense, Mice changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mice escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garbrandt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Garbrandt throws an elbow that misses. Mice uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Garbrandt's guard. Nice move by Mice!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Garbrandt manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Mice has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Garbrandt regains guard immediately.

Mice drops back looking for a leg! Garbrandt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Garbrandt manages to kick Mice off! Mice jumps back into Garbrandt's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mice in particular looking to stall.
