And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maekawa Tsutomu!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Tsutomu.
It looks like Kentaro Nishimura has been cut.
Tsutomu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tsutomu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nishimura counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Nishimura takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nishimura trying to mount his opponent but Tsutomu defends it.
Nishimura seems to be working for a kimura but Tsutomu defends the submission attempt.
Nishimura is trying for a kimura here. Tsutomu looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nishimura wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kentaro Nishimura!
Kentaro Nishimura opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
Maekawa Tsutomu spoke after the fight, saying 'The fish got off the hook.'.
