Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry Shark (ranked 4563 p4p, 25166 weight class) and Vitor Bad Boy (ranked 572 p4p, 713 weight class). Vitor Bad Boy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Larry Shark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vitor Bad Boy! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bad Boy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shark at a distance.
Shark swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bad Boy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Shark shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Shark slows the pace down in half guard. Shark has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Shark is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Shark content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shark is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bad Boy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bad Boy. Shark loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bad Boy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Shark controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shark stopping the sweep attempt from Bad Boy. Shark not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bad Boy for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bad Boy throws a lazy uppercut
and Shark counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bad Boy! Bad Boy is trying to work for a sweep but Shark has mounted him! Shark moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bad Boy has worked his arm free - good work by Bad Boy!
Shark is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bad Boy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shark in side control, throwing shots but Bad Boy defends. Shark controls the position. Shark wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bad Boy, who protects the arm well. Shark tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. An elbow from Shark crashes against the mat.
Shark is staying tight to Bad Boy's torso, preventing him from escaping. Bad Boy is trying to get back to half guard. Shark is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bad Boy has escaped the position, nice work there. Shark controls the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. This is a sustained period of stalling by Shark. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Shark dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Shark displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bad Boy throws out the jab. Shark attempts a counter takedown but Bad Boy avoids it well and moves away. Bad Boy throws a series of punches but Shark avoids them all with ease. Bad Boy loads up on a big right hand but Shark slips the punch. Shark looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bad Boy! Bad Boy being controlled for a moment. Bad Boy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shark lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Shark stalling. Larry Shark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shark is looking for a kimura but Bad Boy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shark to get the leverage. Shark is controlling the pace.
Shark continues to hold on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bad Boy is defending against the submission attempts here by Shark.
Bad Boy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shark. Shark works his way into side control. You can see the frustration on Bad Boy's face as Shark controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bad Boy defending against the ground and pound. Shark taking a breather here. Shark's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Shark tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bad Boy parries the strikes from Shark easily there. Shark is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bad Boy to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bad Boy is letting Shark control him for a moment. Shark looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bad Boy gets back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shark is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Shark dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Bad Boy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shark was well out of range. Poor timing from Bad Boy. Shark throws a body punch but Bad Boy moves out of range. Bad Boy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A momentary lapse in concentration from Bad Boy enables Shark to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bad Boy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Shark looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shark tries to free his leg and advance position but Bad Boy is retaining full guard. Shark postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bad Boy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shark, into his guard. Shark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shark can't keep his opponent in guard - Bad Boy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bad Boy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Shark looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Shark is positioning himself well to prevent Bad Boy advancing to mount. Shark wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shark misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Shark utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Shark pulls Bad Boy in to control the position. Shark is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bad Boy can do to turn this around? Bad Boy works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bad Boy is trying to control the action in half guard but Shark is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Shark is positioning himself well to prevent Bad Boy advancing to mount. Shark is looking to improve his position.

And that's the end of the fight! Larry Shark showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shark, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
