Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vunipola Veainu (ranked 2662 p4p, 2810 weight class) and Marlin Paschal (ranked 294 p4p, 312 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marlin Paschal was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vunipola Veainu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veainu dodges the punch combination from Paschal.
Paschal gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Paschal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Marlin Paschal has been cut.
Veainu misses with a looping right.
Veainu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Paschal.
It looked like Veainu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Veainu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Veainu cracks Paschal with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Veainu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Paschal to stand back up!

Veainu throws a hook but Paschal avoids it easily.
Paschal falls off balance throwing a combination

and Veainu counters with a nice right hand that sends Paschal toppling to the canvas! Paschal scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Veainu finish him?!

Paschal is rocked!
Paschal's coach down at Big Island Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Paschal's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Paschal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Veainu throwing a counter right hand but Paschal manages to avoid it.
Veainu throws a body shot but no joy.
Paschal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Veainu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Paschal is holding his hands too far apart here. Veainu throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Paschal is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
