Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Satrud Palathai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohamed Salah!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Palathai avoids it really well and circles away.
And Palathai counters with a quick kick to the body but Salah blocks it.
Salah misses with a takedown attempt
and Palathai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Palathai stuns Salah with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Salah fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Palathai, pushing him back against the cage.
Palathai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Salah tries for a takedown but Palathai circles away easily
and Palathai counters with a nice body shot.
Satrud Palathai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamed Salah.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salah has his takedown stuffed
and Palathai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Salah moves to clinch but Palathai breaks away
and Palathai counters with a stiff right hand.
Mohamed Salah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Salah.
Palathai lands an overhand right.
Palathai is looking to slow Salah down with leg kicks.
Salah fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Palathai throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Salah tries to clinch up but Palathai circles away and keeps his distance.
A jab from Palathai finds it's way through Salah's defenses.
Palathai lands a big right hand that sends Salah crashing to the mat! Palathai stays standing though and waves Salah back to his feet!
Salah is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Salah has his takedown stuffed
and Palathai counters with a huge right that knocks Salah out cold! Palathai is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
