Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vanna Phommathep (ranked 2009 p4p, 1393 weight class) and Kofi Ousmane (ranked 288 p4p, 212 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vanna Phommathep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kofi Ousmane!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ousmane looks to score with a jab to the body but Phommathep is just out of range.
Ousmane lands a nice shot to the body.
A punch combination from Ousmane misses.
Phommathep takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Phommathep counters by clinching up.
Phommathep tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ousmane just stands there and leans against the cage.
Come on Phommathep - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Phommathep ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Phommathep no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ousmane is in close to Phommathep's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Phommathep working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ousmane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Phommathep is tightening it up a little... Ousmane has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ousmane reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ousmane taps out! Nice BJJ there by Phommathep!
