Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Selimkhan Rasnov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kilian Piper!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasnov gets a takedown into half guard.
Piper is holding on to half guard well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piper looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rasnov throwing shots but Piper is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piper is not content to let Rasnov control the position.
Rasnov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rasnov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Piper is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Piper looking for a guillotine here but Rasnov defends easily.
Piper has his foot on Rasnov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rasnov works his way back into a safe position though.
Piper controls Rasnov momentarily but Rasnov frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rasnov thows a huge punch but Piper dodges it nicely.
Piper is refusing to be controlled, as Rasnov sits in half guard.
Rasnov is trying to work for a kimura but Piper is defending well.
Rasnov is pressing down on Piper's thigh, looking to free his foot. Piper is holding on for now.
Piper is looking for a sweep. Rasnov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Piper looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rasnov tries to clinch up.
Rasnov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rasnov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Piper back to the cage. Rasnov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Piper feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rasnov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Piper manages to get himself to full guard.
Piper is trying to control the position but Rasnov postures up.
Rasnov passes Piper's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rasnov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Selimkhan Rasnov dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rasnov moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromPiper.
Rasnov lands with a kick to the temple. Piper shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Piper holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Rasnov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Piper tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rasnov smiles and moves away.
Rasnov slaps away a takedown attempt from Piper, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rasnov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Piper can do to turn this around?

Rasnov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Piper tries to avoid it but Rasnov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Piper to the ground. Piper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rasnov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rasnov drives through and clinches with Piper against the cage.
Piper drags the fight down to the ground.

Rasnov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Piper is proving hard to escape from.
Piper is trying to keep Rasnov in close.

Piper is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rasnov is controlling him.

Piper gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Piper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Piper looks for a takedown but Rasnov sprawls well.

Piper gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rasnov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Selimkhan Rasnov will probably get the nod.

Piper jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rasnov walks away with a smile on his face. Piper gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Piper jumps guard but Rasnov stands there with Piper around his waist. Piper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Piper has clasped his hands together around Rasnov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Rasnov throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Piper pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rasnov is out of range and Piper settles back down.
Rasnov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Piper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rasnov somewhat.
As Rasnov backs off Piper throws a huge counter combo but Rasnov manages to avoid it all.
Piper looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rasnov!
Rasnov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Piper off and has taken his back!
Selimkhan Rasnov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
