The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicodeme throws an uppercut from half a mile away. West sees it coming and avoids it easily.

West uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nicodeme.
Nicodeme swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

It looks like Zuki Nicodeme has been cut.
Nicodeme circles away from the clinch attempt.
West tests Nicodeme's chin there with a solid looking shot.
West throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Nicodeme was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
West fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nicodeme throws out a loose jab but West uses good head movement to avoid it.
It looked like West wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
West tries to bum rush Nicodeme with a series of wild strikes but Nicodeme uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

West lands a big right hand that sends Nicodeme crashing to the mat! West stays standing though and waves Nicodeme back to his feet!
