Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonah Andrews! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Cruz! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews slaps away a takedown attempt from Cruz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Andrews moves to clinch but Cruz breaks away and Cruz counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Andrews looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cruz works his way into full mount! Cruz landing strikes from the mount and Andrews is in trouble! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andrews is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
