Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Glass (ranked 4131 p4p, 24054 weight class) and Thumper Impala (ranked 455 p4p, 687 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Glass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thumper Impala ! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glass throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Impala scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Mr Glass has been cut. Glass throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Impala 's waist but Impala gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Glass off to one side. A little jabbing left from Impala on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Glass swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Impala looks to land a left hand but Glass moved out of range nicely. Impala throws a lazy right hand but Glass sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A cross from Glass lands. Glass finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Impala steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Glass. Impala pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Glass shoots for a takedown but Impala saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Glass misses with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Glass. A shot to the liver by Glass. Beautiful body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Impala throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Impala fails in his attempt to clinch. Impala forces Glass back against the cage and clinches. Impala pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Impala tries to score a power double leg takedown but Glass sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Impala somewhat. Glass looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Impala swings widly with a right hand
and Glass counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Glass. Glass is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Impala looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Glass controls from within his opponent's guard. Glass throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Glass is looking to clinch. Glass slips under a jab from Impala . Glass attempts a counter takedown but Impala avoids it well and moves away. Glass displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Impala throws out the jab. We've been informed that Impala has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Glass slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Impala looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Impala tries to clinch and Glass counters with a takedown into side control. Impala tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Glass looking to take Impala 's back but Impala rolls and after a scramble, Impala ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Impala to escape a tricky position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Glass controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glass bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Impala 's guard. Glass not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Impala really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Glass. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mr Glass will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mr Glass's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Glass staying out of range there. Impala takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A big left from Impala misses. Impala gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Impala pressing his opponent against the cage. Glass blocks the elbow strike.
Impala wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Impala is stalling here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Impala wants a takedown but no success here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Glass creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Impala breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Glass leaves Impala with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Impala connects with a jab. Impala tries to clinch up but Glass circles away and keeps his distance. Glass half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Impala is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Glass's half guard. Glass tries to kick Impala off in order to stand up. Impala Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Glass can't do much from the bottom here. Glass has one of Impala 's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Glass is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mr Glass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Impala trying to control the action but Glass is working from the bottom. Glass is looking for a sweep. Impala is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Glass works his way to full guard. Good work. Glass pulls Impala in close to prevent any damage. Glass continues to stall. Glass manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Impala manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Glass with that takedown attempt. Glass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Impala steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Glass. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Impala tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Glass manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Glass drops down looking for a counter takedown but Impala sprawls and moves away. Glass bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Glass feinted with a counter takedown. Glass looks to land a combination but Impala avoids it well. Glass fails with the takedown and Impala counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Impala misses the jab. Thumper Impala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. Impala tries to land knees in the clinch but Glass avoids the damage to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Impala throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Glass blocks it with crossed arms. A battle for position here, against the cage. Glass slowing the pace effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Impala goes for a takedown attempt but Glass pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Impala looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Glass throws a predictable looking body shot
and Impala counters with a left to the body. Impala tries to clinch but Glass moves out of range. Glass feinted with a counter takedown. Glass jabs at Impala 's body. Impala moves into the clinch successfully.
Glass is trying to pull guard but Impala has him pressed against the cage. Impala prevents Glass from breaking the clinch. Glass working hard to break the clinch. Glass tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Impala avoids it. Impala is pressed up against the cage. Glass has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Impala down to the mat. Impala avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mr Glass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Impala has closed the distance and engaged Glass in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Glass breaks the clinch.
Impala rushes Glass and presses him up against the cage. Glass tries to pull guard but Impala holds him up against the cage and eventually Glass drops back down to his feet.
Glass tightens his grip and picks Impala up, before dumping him to the ground. Impala manages to land in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Impala manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Glass avoiding damage as Impala throws knees to the body.
Impala is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Impala manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass has Impala pressed against the cage, preventing Impala from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Glass is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Impala to keep the fight standing. Glass breaks the clinch.
Mr Glass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Glass feints and as Impala raises his hands in defense, Glass changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Impala keeping full guard, as Glass tries to pass. Glass pushing down on Impala 's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Impala takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Glass is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Glass wants to pass the guard but Impala is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Impala tries to get to full guard but Glass has control of the leg. Thumper Impala has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Impala wants to get back to his feet. Glass not doing much here.
Glass is thwarting Impala 's attempts to control the position. Mr Glass is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Glass content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Thumper Impala . I think Glass has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mr Glass! Mr Glass tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. The defeated Thumper Impala had this to say: 'awww man off to retirement i go'.
