Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kasper Hansen (ranked 2842 p4p, 3413 weight class) and Joaquim Mourao (ranked 350 p4p, 400 weight class). Joaquim Mourao is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kasper Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joaquim Mourao!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mourao throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mourao is in Hansen's guard.
Hansen wants to sweep but no luck.
Hansen pulls Mourao in close to his closed guard and prevents Mourao from doing any damage or advancing position.
Hansen has momentary wrist control but Mourao slips an elbow through the middle.
Hansen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Mourao thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mourao has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad The Island. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mourao is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kasper Hansen will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kasper Hansen.
I think Hansen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
