PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boxing Mcsparr (ranked 620 p4p, 1524 weight class) and Miguel Sandoval (ranked 102 p4p, 224 weight class). Mcsparr comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Hell's Bells. Boxing Mcsparr has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boxing Mcsparr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcsparr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mcsparr throws a push kick but Sandoval slaps the foot to one side.

and Sandoval counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mcsparr!
Sandoval content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mcsparr lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd cheers as Sandoval lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mcsparr doesn't seem phased though.

Mcsparr throws an overhand right that lands on Sandoval's shoulder, as Sandoval tries to avoid the shot.
Sandoval shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mcsparr sprawls well. Mcsparr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sandoval gets slowly back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And Sandoval tries to counter it with a takedown but Mcsparr pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mcsparr.

Sandoval throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mcsparr to regain full guard.
Mcsparr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sandoval wants to improve his position but Mcsparr is controlling well.

Miguel Sandoval comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sandoval has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
