Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miz Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jackson's choice of entrance music: Go Hard. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miz Jackson! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullivan ducks straight into an uppercut from Jackson and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Sullivan maanges to regain guard straight away.
It looks like Brad Sullivan has been cut. Sullivan looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sullivan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sullivan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jackson is pushing down on Sullivan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sullivan is fighting to maintain full guard but Jackson has managed to sneak the leg through. Jackson works his way into side control. Jackson working the ground and pound from side control. Jackson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jackson looks up at the clock and then as Sullivan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jackson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Sullivan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sullivan takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jackson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sullivan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Sullivan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sullivan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jackson connects with a decent elbow. Jackson working the head with strikes. Jackson landing a few strikes. Sullivan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sullivan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sullivan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jackson off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sullivan's guard. Nice work there by Jackson.
Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sullivan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sullivan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jackson throws a big right hand that misses. Sullivan is trying to keep Jackson in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan has his feet on Jackson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sullivan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jackson misses with a takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jackson tries for a takedown but Sullivan circles away easily and Sullivan counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard. Sullivan wants to stand but Jackson is controlling his posture from full guard. Sullivan trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jackson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sullivan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sullivan escapes and gets back to his feet. Sullivan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sullivan forces Jackson back against the cage and clinches. Sullivan has had enough of the clinch but Jackson keeps him there for the moment. Sullivan gets underhooks to prevent Jackson's takedown attempt.
Brad Sullivan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miz Jackson. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sullivan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jackson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sullivan fails to land the takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson misses with a takedown and Sullivan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sullivan. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sullivan stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miz Jackson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brad Sullivan's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jackson with a lazy takedown attempt and Sullivan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Sullivan is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Sullivan from controlling successfully. Jackson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sullivan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Jackson is not content to let Sullivan control the position. Jackson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sullivan jumps into side control! Sullivan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jackson stuffs the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sullivan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson wants to improve his position but instead Sullivan has moved into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson missing with punches from the bottom.
Sullivan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jackson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jackson. Sullivan passes Jackson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jackson wants to get back to full guard but Sullivan has passed into side control. Jackson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan is landing with strikes from the back. Sullivan looking to break Jackson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Jackson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sullivan will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Jackson turns into Sullivan and is now in his guard.
Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sullivan has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though. Sullivan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sullivan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jackson throws a sloppy strike and Sullivan has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Jackson is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Sullivan!
