Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Perrin Abarra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter Payton!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A punch combination from Abarra misses.
Payton swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Abarra throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Payton counters with a straight right hand.
Payton cracks Abarra with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Abarra looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Payton finish him?
Abarra is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Payton fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Abarra out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Walter Payton!
Walter Payton was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
