Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffery Wilkos (ranked 5658 p4p, 24594 weight class) and Brad Incons (ranked 610 p4p, 685 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Incons. Those never looked like landing.
Jab, jab by Incons - just one landing.
A jab from Wilkos misses.
Incons is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Incons connects with a looping right hand.
Incons throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wilkos throws a big counter combination but Incons scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
An inside leg kick lands from Incons.
Incons tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wilkos was well out of range. Poor timing from Incons.
Incons defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wilkos.
Incons misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wilkos gets the takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Incons is trying to get back to his feet.

Wilkos works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Incons is pushing Wilkos's head away, looking to escape. Wilkos manages to hold on to the position though.
Wilkos remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Incons tries to escape back to his feet but Wilkos has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Incons's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Incons is tapping! Wilkos saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
