Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy Garrison ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Sinisterra! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sinisterra throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sinisterra misses with a series of wild punches.
Garrison lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sinisterra sprawling to the canvas. Garrison follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sinisterra hang on?
It looks like Luis Sinisterra has been cut. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Garrison lands a nice short elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Garrison with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Sinisterra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garrison . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garrison is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Sinisterra keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Garrison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Garrison dominating with strikes here.
Sinisterra is rocked! Garrison takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Garrison avoids the attempt from Sinisterra to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garrison looking to control and managing it successfully. Garrison won't let Sinisterra get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Garrison lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Garrison is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Sinisterra goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Garrison !
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Troy Garrison ! Troy Garrison decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
