Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad Love (ranked 4750 p4p, 4925 weight class) and Vince Gomer (ranked 503 p4p, 509 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chad Love!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Love's guard.
Gomer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've been hearing good reports from Love's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Love pulls Gomer in close to prevent any damage.

Love escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gomer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

My spies in Ginásio Guerreiro inform me that Gomer has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Love is in a horrible position here. Gomer smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Love tries to lock up and control but Gomer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Love feints and then cracks Gomer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gomer down.
Love shoots in for a takedown but Gomer shows good takedown defense.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gomer is defended easily by Love.

Gomer strikes from the bottom but Love passes into mount!

Gomer has hold of Love's hands but Love slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gomer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Love is working away from the top position though.

Gomer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Love connects with a nice short shot to Gomer's temple.

Love stalling.
Love is trying to work for a kimura but Gomer is defending well.
Love is trying to control. Gomer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Love will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Love wants to pass the guard but Gomer is defending well.

Gomer is trying to get back to full guard.
Love is trying to control the action in half guard but Gomer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

and Love counters with a head kick. That will keep Gomer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Horrible takedown attempt by Gomer or perhaps it was just good defense by Love, which made it look bad.

Love dives in for a single leg takedown but Gomer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Love jumps guard and drags Gomer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
