Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jefferson Steelflex (ranked 5063 p4p, 5073 weight class) and Alvin Yakatori (ranked 110 p4p, 108 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alvin Yakatori!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Yakatori tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steelflex was well out of range. Poor timing from Yakatori.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Yakatori counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steelflex thinking.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Steelflex might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jefferson Steelflex will probably get the nod.

Well Yakatori has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
