Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 23 - 1, fighting out of New York, Starling Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 27 - 0, fighting out of London, Kaspars Petrovs!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up but Petrovs circles away and keeps his distance.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Petrovs! But no joy.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Petrovs stalks Silva and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silva's face. Silva staggers backwards, shaken.
Petrovs tries to move into range but Silva moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Petrovs throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Silva crashing down! Silva tries to stagger back to his feet but Petrovs just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Silva asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaspars Petrovs!
