The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Cruz Jr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Raper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Cruz Jr counters with a nice right hand that sends Raper toppling to the canvas! Raper scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Cruz Jr finish him?!
Raper moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Raper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Raper fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cruz Jr is out of range.

Cruz Jr went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Raper throws a hook but Cruz Jr blocks it.

Biff Raper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raper lands with a cross.

Cruz Jr takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Raper is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cruz Jr had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
A combination from Raper does no damage.
As Raper looks to move away, Cruz Jr throws a big counter combo but Raper just gets out of the way.

Cruz Jr is looking to counter with head kicks.
Raper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Raper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cruz Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Raper.
Raper thuds his right hand into Cruz Jr's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cruz Jr tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Raper manages to circle out of the way.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Biff Raper will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jorge Cruz Jr's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cruz Jr lands with a straight right. Raper didn't see that one coming.
Cruz Jr backs away from a small jab... but Raper lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Cruz Jr crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Raper with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Biff Raper!
After winning the bout, Biff Raper thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
