Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conor The Barbarian (ranked 28 p4p, 67 weight class) and Jorge Cruz Jr (ranked 6 p4p, 11 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conor The Barbarian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jorge Cruz Jr! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz Jr lands a nice looking body kick. We've been informed that Cruz Jr has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Cruz Jr ducks under a wild hook from The Barbarian. Cruz Jr falls off balance throwing a combination
and The Barbarian counters with a good, hard body kick but Cruz Jr shrugs it off. The Barbarian takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Conor The Barbarian has been cut. Cruz Jr throws a big shot that misses. A head kick misses from Cruz Jr. A little feinted left hand from The Barbarian on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Cruz Jr throws a head kick but The Barbarian moves out of range.
Cruz Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from The Barbarian. Cruz Jr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Cruz Jr throws a big shot that misses. The Barbarian loads up on a big right hand but Cruz Jr slips the punch. A leg kick checked by The Barbarian. The Barbarian takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz Jr lands a big head kick that sends The Barbarian tumbling to the mat! Cruz Jr takes a step backwards and waves The Barbarian back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The Barbarian is rocked!
Conor The Barbarian's cut is getting worse. The Barbarian scores with a push kick. Cruz Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The Barbarian waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cruz Jr. Cruz Jr unleashes a big counter combination but The Barbarian bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. A telegraphed right hand from Cruz Jr misses the target. The Barbarian throws the left hand but Cruz Jr avoids the punch easily. Cruz Jr lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. The Barbarian jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Jorge Cruz Jr has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cruz Jr misses with the combination.
A telegraphed right hand from Cruz Jr misses the target. The Barbarian ducks under a wild hook from Cruz Jr. The Barbarian appears to be looking for a big counter. Cruz Jr jabs The Barbarian to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cruz Jr throws a right and a left that The Barbarian avoids nicely. The Barbarian wants to slow Cruz Jr down by chopping away at his legs. Cruz Jr wants to counter the offense by The Barbarian and move into the clinch position. Cruz Jr throws a quick head kick that skims the top of The Barbarian's head.
Conor The Barbarian's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The Barbarian throws out a loose jab but Cruz Jr uses good head movement to avoid it. The Barbarian does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. The Barbarian throws a looping overhand right but Cruz Jr ducks down to avoid it. A telegraphed right hand from The Barbarian misses the target. Cruz Jr thuds a left hand into The Barbarian's body. Cruz Jr thows a left - swing and a miss! The Barbarian swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The Barbarian lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The Barbarian lands a leg kick that knocks Cruz Jr off balance momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Barbarian uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cruz Jr. Cruz Jr misses with a wild body shot. The Barbarian walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Cruz Jr misses with a left hand and The Barbarian connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The Barbarian uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cruz Jr. The Barbarian has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cruz Jr finds it's way round the side to connect with The Barbarian's head.
Jeez, Conor The Barbarian's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Conor The Barbarian's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jorge Cruz Jr! Jorge Cruz Jr tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. Conor The Barbarian was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back'.
