Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John C Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rodney Alcala!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Reilly.
Reilly swings away with a body shot that misses
and Alcala counters with a head kick.
Reilly misses with a wild body shot.
Reilly throws an overhand right that lands on Alcala's shoulder, as Alcala tries to avoid the shot.
Reilly takes a swing at Alcala's ribcage but misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Alcala! But no joy.

Reilly has managed to clinch.

Alcala pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reilly misses with a hook
letting Alcala counter with a right hand.

It looks like John C Reilly has been cut.
Alcala tries to land a front kick but Reilly steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Reilly cracks Alcala with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Reilly lands a nice shot that snaps Alcala's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reilly scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Alcala blocks a jab.
Alcala moves forwards but Reilly connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Alcala is rocked!
Alcala is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alcala takes one to the side of the head.
Alcala is still on wobbly legs! Can Reilly finish him?
Reilly has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Razor Sharp Training Systems in the buildup to the fight.
Reilly cracks Alcala with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Alcala tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Reilly pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Alcala is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John C Reilly!
In his post fight interview, John C Reilly started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
