Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 1260 p4p, 1334 weight class) and Eric Dungey (ranked 190 p4p, 202 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by I Won't Back Down. Michael Cole is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Dungey!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dungey takes a shot right to the bread basket.

It seemed like Dungey was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Cole throws a body shot but no joy.
Dungey throws out a counter right but Cole avoids it with no problem.
Cole looks to score with a jab to the body but Dungey is just out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dungey moves away.
Dungey misses with a straight right.
Cole was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Michael Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Dungey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Cole fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dungey to the ground. Cole is now in Dungey's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cole accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dungey looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dungey wants to stand up but Cole is controlling him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cole seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

It looked like Cole was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dungey.
Dungey tries to move into range but Cole moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

and Dungey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dungey is fending him off so far but Cole persists. Nope, Dungey circles away and we're back to standing.
Dungey was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Cole swings for the body but Dungey moves out of range.
It seemed like Dungey was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Dungey loads up on a big right hand but Cole slips the punch.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dungey as he avoids it easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Cole blocks the leg kick.
Cole changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dungey takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dungey throws an overhand right that lands on Cole's shoulder, as Cole tries to avoid the shot.
Cole jabs Dungey to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Dungey misses with a leg kick.
Cole lands a leg kick that knocks Dungey off balance momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Cole will probably get the nod.

Cole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dungey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Cole throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dungey sees it coming and avoids it easily.
As Cole backs off Dungey throws a huge counter combo but Cole manages to avoid it all.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cole throws out a loose jab but Dungey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cole avoids a punch combination nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Michael Cole showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Cole has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
