And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Gregoire Lamerde!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamerde uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Katana.
Lamerde throws a head kick that misses.
Lamerde throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Lamerde lands a big head kick that sends Katana tumbling to the mat! Lamerde takes a step backwards and waves Katana back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Katana is rocked!
It looks like Martin Katana has been cut.
Lamerde throws a front kick that sends Katana stumbling back into the cage.
Oh Katana is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Katana is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A head kick by Lamerde - that's a beauty! Katana is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Lamerde can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
