Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Hansen Jert (ranked 4908 p4p, 4904 weight class) and John Wells (ranked 630 p4p, 629 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hansen Jert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Wells! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jert misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A shot to the body from Jert misses and Wells counters with a nice leg kick. Jert throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jert avoiding damage.
Wells wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Wells wants to get back to striking at distance but Jert won't allow it.
Jert breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jert circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wells scores with a leg kick.
Wells tries to land a front kick but Jert steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jert is looking for a counter combo. Wells looks to throw the jab but Jert is out of range. Wells ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jert bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wells's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wells lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jert circles away quickly and effectively. Wells swings for the body but Jert moves out of range.
Wells tries to keep at a distance but Jert has taken the fight into the clinch. Jert working aggressively here.
Wells is trying to break the clinch but Jert is controlling him. Wells escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wells swats away the attempt to clinch by Jert. Wells scores with a kick to the body.
Jert clinches up against the ropes. Jert prevents Wells from breaking the clinch. Jert pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jert tries to close the distance and clinch but Wells swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wells looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wells circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wells on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wells jabs Jert to the body, keeping him at a distance. A punch combination from Jert misses. Wells looks to land a right hand but Jert moved out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wells throws a sloppy head kick and Jert moves out of range easily. Wells with a jab. Wells blocks a head kick by Jert.
Wells swings widly with a right hand
and Jert counters with a left and a right that stings Wells. Wells has managed to clinch.
Jert keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wells's efforts to push away. Jert has Wells pressed against the ropes, preventing Wells from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Come on Jert - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Wells's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jert tries to clinch up and Wells connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wells misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jert avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jert is looking for a counter combo. Jert tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wells was well out of range. Poor timing from Jert. Wells scores with a sloppy right hand. Jert should have avoided that one. Jert has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jert misses with a punch to the body.
Wells is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Wells pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wells lands a really nice looking cross but Jert seems unphased.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jert tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wells was well out of range. Poor timing from Jert. Jert instigates a clinch. Wells has had enough of the clinch but Jert keeps him there for the moment. Jert manages to break the clinch.
John Wells is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wells gets a clinch. Wells is trying to push Jert away but Jert has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Wells is trying to stall.
Jert keeps control of Wells as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jert breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jert throws a right hand that Wells ducks under and follows up with a left that Wells also avoids with ease. Jert closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Wells tries to circle away but Jert has him pinned against the ropes. Wells tries to circle away but Jert has him pinned against the ropes. Wells tries to land a knee to the head but Jert blocks with his arms.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Wells will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Wells throws a lazy head kick and Jert connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. John Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jert closes the distance and clinches. Wells wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jert stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Jert lands a nice uppercut. Wells has had enough of the clinch but Jert keeps him there for the moment. Wells is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Jert swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wells has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Wells pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wells catches Jert napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Jert crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Wells raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
