Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Sizemore (ranked 24598 p4p, 6284 weight class) and Carlo Pedersoli Jr (ranked 776 p4p, 691 weight class). Sizemore's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Go Get It. Pedersoli Jr has chosen Notte Blu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Carlo Pedersoli Jr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Sizemore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlo Pedersoli Jr!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Hugh Johnson and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedersoli Jr blocks a head kick by Sizemore.
Pedersoli Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sizemore sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Michael Sizemore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pedersoli Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sizemore.

Sizemore shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sizemore throwing strikes but missing.
Sizemore is pushing down on Pedersoli Jr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pedersoli Jr is fighting to maintain full guard but Sizemore has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pedersoli Jr has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad Amsterdam. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Sizemore not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Sizemore winds up and cracks Pedersoli Jr with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pedersoli Jr looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sizemore thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sizemore wants to take a breather but Pedersoli Jr is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sizemore throwing shots but Pedersoli Jr is blocking nicely.
Pedersoli Jr on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Sizemore seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pedersoli Jr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sizemore thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pedersoli Jr's head.
Sizemore is looking to take a break and control but Pedersoli Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sizemore is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sizemore thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Sizemore decides to return to a standing position.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sizemore is defended easily by Pedersoli Jr.
Sizemore will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A slow jab from Pedersoli Jr misses its intended target.
We've been told by Sizemore's head coaches at Hotrod Express MMA Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sizemore has his takedown stuffed
and Pedersoli Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Sizemore. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sizemore looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pedersoli Jr lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sizemore. Pedersoli Jr pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlo Pedersoli Jr!
In his post fight interview, Carlo Pedersoli Jr started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Michael Sizemore stepped up to the mic, saying 'You know we came and gave our all, just wasn't enough or a bad plan. We'll head back train harder and return better. '.
