Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnie Larkin!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hill fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Larkin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Larkin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hill misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Larkin.
Hill misses with an uppercut. Larkin saw that one coming.
Hill misses with an uppercut.
Larkin cracks Hill with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A leg kick checked by Hill.
Hill throws a left and a right that both miss
and Larkin counters with a left to the body.
Larkin misses with a series of wild punches.
Larkin misses with a lunging right hand
and Hill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hill misses with a lunging right hand
and Larkin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hill scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Larkin throws a head kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hill has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hill has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hill looks to score with a jab to the body but Larkin is just out of range.
Hill tries to clinch up.
Larkin appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hill slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Larkin gets a takedown into half guard.

Hill kicks Larkin off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larkin tries to move into range but Hill moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hill is looking to clinch but Larkin is avoiding it.
Larkin tries to counter by closing the distance.
Hill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Larkin manages to avoid it.
A head kick from Larkin lands but Hill takes it in his stride.

It looks like Scott Hill has been cut.
Larkin throws a nice outside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hill feints and as Larkin raises his hands in defense, Hill changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Larkin controls Hill momentarily but Hill frees himself.
Hill tries to free his leg and advance position but Larkin is retaining full guard.

Larkin has his foot on Hill's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hill works his way back into a safe position though.
Hill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hill advances position into side control!
Hill landing strikes.

Hill is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Larkin has escaped the position, nice work there.
Larkin tries to buck Hill off but Hill is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hill lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Hill throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Hill wants to control but Larkin is keeping him busy.
Hill working the head and body with strikes.
Larkin sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Hill wants to control but Larkin is keeping him busy.
Larkin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hill wants to control from the top but Larkin keeps moving.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Larkin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Hill trying to control but Larkin is working from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hill's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Larkin keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully.

Hill stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Larkin throws up his legs and catches Hill in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Hill tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Larkin! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Donnie Larkin!
After the fight, Donnie Larkin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Scott Hill was interviewed post fight and said 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. My team at 3Band MMA and I will break down this match and make the proper changes for my next camp.'.
