Gorge is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Tempe Gorge has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Tempe Gorge has been cut.
Rodriguez misses with a leg kick
and Gorge counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rodriguez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gorge lands with a hook. Rodriguez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rodriguez thows a body kick. Gorge tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Gorge jabs Rodriguez to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rodriguez throws a poor cross that misses
and Gorge makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Gorge throws an overhand right that lands on Rodriguez's shoulder, as Rodriguez tries to avoid the shot.
A big right from Rodriguez misses.
Gorge stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gorge slips under a jab.
Rodriguez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice jab there from Rodriguez.
Gorge throws a body kick that misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Rodriguez. That snapped Gorge's head back.
Rodriguez throws a wild body kick that Gorge sees coming a mile off.
Gorge tries to move into range but Rodriguez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gorge scores with a one two! Rodriguez had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Gorge displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rodriguez throws out the jab.
Rodriguez misses with the body kick
and Gorge cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rodriguez throws a right hand that misses
and Rodriguez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rodriguez is rocked!
Gorge tries for a takedown but Rodriguez circles away easily
letting Rodriguez counter with a right hand.
Oh Rodriguez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodriguez throws a nice head kick!
Rodriguez seems to have got his legs back now.
Gorge is rocked!
Gorge gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Rodriguez gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Gorge is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Rodriguez!
