Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Skelly (ranked 4697 p4p, 4696 weight class) and Saint Karter (ranked 511 p4p, 510 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaun Skelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Saint Karter! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Skelly closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Karter is trying to stand.
Karter has one foot on Skelly's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karter. Skelly half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Skelly tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Karter is in Skelly's guard. Skelly has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Karter off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Skelly shoots in for a takedown but Karter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Karter with the counter takedown but Skelly avoids it easily. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karter fails to land the takedown. Skelly appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Skelly stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Skelly wants it to stay on the feet. Shaun Skelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saint Karter. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Karter shoots in for a takedown but Skelly shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Shaun Skelly showed his dominance in that final round. Well Skelly has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
