Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amaharo Xan (ranked 2293 p4p, 1794 weight class) and Tama Ruiha (ranked 303 p4p, 250 weight class). Xan comes to the cage accompanied by ARIGA TCHAN. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ruiha's choice of entrance music: Polynesian Traditional Music. Tama Ruiha is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiha uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Xan.
Xan misses with a hook
and Ruiha counters with a straight right hand.
Xan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Xan moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Tama Ruiha has been cut.
Ruiha swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Xan throws a lazy uppercut
and Ruiha counters with a nice uppercut.
Ruiha swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Xan.
Xan lands a jab.

Xan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ruiha sprawling to the canvas! Ruiha rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Xan finish him?!

Ruiha is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ruiha wants to clinch.
Xan throws out a loose jab but Ruiha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ruiha takes one to the chin there.

That has opened up Tama Ruiha's cut even more.
Xan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ruiha ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ruiha! But no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Xan lands a glancing blow to the side of Ruiha's head.

The cut above Tama Ruiha's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Xan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Xan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ruiha is still on wobbly legs! Can Xan finish him?
Xan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Ruiha to counter with a crisp jab.
Ruiha seems to have recovered his senses.
Xan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Xan misses with a lunging right hand
and Ruiha counters with a straight right hand.
Ruiha misses with an uppercut.

and Ruiha counters with a stiff right hand.
A big left from Xan misses.

and Ruiha counters with a crisp one two that drops Xan! Ruiha thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Xan to his feet! Xan is in big trouble!

Oh Xan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Xan throws a lazy uppercut
and Ruiha counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
