Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Diego (ranked 4557 p4p, 6832 weight class) and Mike Lee (ranked 506 p4p, 605 weight class). Lee is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Click Click Boom. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee wants to clinch up but Diego keeps it at a distance.
Diego with a nice cross.
Juan Diego seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab-cross combination lands for Diego and sends Lee crashing to the mat! Diego follows him down to the mat - Lee regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Lee is rocked!
It looks like Mike Lee has been cut.
Diego not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lee is still in real trouble! Can Diego finish him?
Lee wants to control but Diego is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Diego knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground.

Lee is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Diego is staying active.

We've been hearing that Diego has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diego defends well.

Lee drops back looking for a leg! Diego is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diego manages to kick Lee off! Lee jumps back into Diego 's guard.
Lee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Diego wants to stand and escape but Lee is having none of it.

Lee passes Diego 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Lee throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Diego to regain full guard.
Lee prevents Diego from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee postures up in Diego 's guard and throws a big left but Diego blocks it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Diego has managed to clinch.
Lee jumps guard but Diego stands there with Lee around his waist. Lee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Diego turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Lee sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Diego with the ground and pound but Lee uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Diego looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Diego is breathing heavily.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diego swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Diego dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mike Lee's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lee slips a straight right by Diego .
Lee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lee there as he acknowledges the shot.
Diego blocks a head kick by Lee.
Diego tries to work over Lee's front leg with a kick but Lee checks it.
Diego lands with a good body shot.
Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diego feints and then cracks Lee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lee down.
Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Diego defends it nicely.
Diego rushes Lee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diego manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mike Lee has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lee has gone for a leg lock! Diego slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lee's guard.
Lee has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Diego should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lee has tightened it up now! Diego should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
