Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Person Killer (ranked 4762 p4p, 4989 weight class) and Kenny Wells (ranked 502 p4p, 510 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Person Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenny Wells!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Wells throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wells misses with a combination

and Killer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Killer.
Killer is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wells gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Wells prevents the takedown attempt.
Killer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wells has him pressed against the cage.

Wells successfully pulls guard.
Killer slips nicely into half guard.
Killer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killer stops Wells from getting back to his feet.
Killer looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

It looks like Kenny Wells has been cut.
Wells is looking for a sweep. Killer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killer frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Killer content just to control the position here.

Killer scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Killer is working for a guillotine from mount but Wells frees his head quite easily.
Wells is trying to reverse the position but instead Killer has taken his back - oops!

Wells defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Killer's arms.
Killer keeps control of the position easily here as Wells tries to buck him off.

Wells tries to escape but Killer has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Wells is trapped and Killer is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Wells can't escape the position.
Killer trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Wells doesn't escape.
Killer scores with punches from the back.
Wells really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Killer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Killer is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Killer lands a shot to the body.
Killer trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Wells doesn't escape.

Killer looking for the choke from the back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Killer scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wells just trying to survive but Killer is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Wells throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Killer.

Killer has taken the fight to the clinch.

Killer pulls guard.

Killer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wells defends well.

Killer kicks Wells off and gets to his feet.
Killer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Killer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Wells is trying to pull guard but Killer has him pressed against the cage.

Killer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Killer misses with a takedown attempt - Wells sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wells blocks the body kick.
A jab from Wells misses.
Kenny Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Killer dodges the punch combination from Wells.
Wells misses with a jab, cross combination.
Killer moves away from the strike by Wells.
Killer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wells sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Killer somewhat.

Wells tries to keep at a distance but Killer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Killer tries to land a knee to the head but Wells blocks with his arms.

Killer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wells avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Person Killer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Killer is trying to break the clinch but Wells has him pressed against the cage.
Wells jumps guard but Killer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wells wants a takedown.
Wells is trying to break free.
Wells fails to pull guard.
Wells letting Killer take a breather here.

Killer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Killer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Killer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wells's guard.

Wells has his hands on Killer's head, controlling the position.

Killer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Killer advances to half guard.
Killer thows a huge punch but Wells dodges it nicely.
Killer with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Killer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wells can do to turn this around?
Wells is trying to control but can't.
Killer is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Killer decides to return to a standing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Killer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wells as he avoids it easily.
Despite the aggression on Wells's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Killer shoots for a double leg takedown but Wells sprawls well. He's pushed Killer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kenny Wells is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wells connects with a high kick.

It looks like Person Killer has been cut.

Wells lands a big head kick that sends Killer tumbling to the mat! Wells takes a step backwards and waves Killer back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Killer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Wells tries to keep at a distance but Killer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Killer is working for takedown but Wells is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wells tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Killer smiles and moves away.
Killer closes the distance and clinches up with Wells, looking for a takedown. Killer pushes Wells against the cage but Wells circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Killer shoots in for a takedown but Wells shows good takedown defense.
Wells thows a left - swing and a miss!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kenny Wells will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Wells throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Killer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Killer has a takedown stuffed.
Wells scores with the left hand. Killer knows he should have avoided that one.
Wells takes a swing at Killer's ribcage but misses.
Killer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A little jabbing left from Wells on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wells throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Killer.
Kenny Wells seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wells scores with a head kick. Killer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Wells lands a left and a right that send Killer crashing to the mat, dazed. Wells thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Killer is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wells misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oh Killer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wells misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Killer seems to have got his legs back now.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wells! Killer is out on his feet! Wells rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Killer is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Killer is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Wells!
