Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between colm hynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Stalin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stalin has chosen Sexy Chick as his entrance music. Max Stalin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stalin throws a right and a left that hynes avoids nicely.
The crowd cheers as Stalin lands an impressive looking overhand right. hynes doesn't seem phased though.

hynes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stalin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stalin.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

hynes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stalin tries to avoid it but hynes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stalin to the ground. Stalin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

hynes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Stalin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. hynes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Stalin's back instead.

Stalin is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

hynes looking to break Stalin's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Stalin remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise hynes will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

hynes jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Stalin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Stalin and hynes has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

hynes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stalin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for hynes but great work by Stalin.
